right, well thank you all again for attending today’s group coaching call, we might start off with the fast track group and check in there, Claire and Julia, how did we how are we progressing with the Fast Track program?

    Claire McCollum 0:29
I may give everyone FOMO. But it was a really great collaborative session today with the questions that were being raised where everybody learned. So at the moment, we’re focusing for our Fast Track program on email marketing automation, which means we’ve got email marketing, where you do your regular campaigns. But then we have automation too, which is like the next step in email marketing, where we have a particular action that will trigger a sequence of automated emails to really, the whole idea is nurturing our site, people that are signing up or opt in into whatever our offer is. And then we’re really nurturing them through the information that we’re emailing them or giving them through email. So there were some really great questions that were raised about segmenting our database. So cleaning up our list and making sure that what we’ve got in our database or before we put it in our to our mail system, that it’s clean, and it’s segmented, so that we know who these people are and where they’ve come from, and whether their past customers, etc. purchase from us before or not, and what their interests are as well. So that’s something that’s really important for anybody that has an email list or that they’re importing them. And what else do we focus on?

    Julia Retson 1:52
Well, we’ve got some people who are using mailer light, and we’ve got some people that are using Active Campaign. So it’s just a question of, when you’re first starting out with those two systems, you want to have a two pronged approach. So first, you want to set yourself up to get new new customers coming in using your lead magnet, which might be a pop up on your website. So you get that set up. And then you’re kind of in the background, what you’re doing is you’re your old list, you’re cleaning up all the fields, all the different names and such to make sure that the name includes just the name as opposed to this is Juliette. But sometimes she likes going by Julie or this is her nickname. So you need to make sure that you clean that up before you upload it. So that you’re able to segment which means picking, picking people based on certain criteria like are they from South Australia? Or are they interested in accommodation? Or are they family family friendly versus away for romantic getaway, so you want to be able to have your list nice and clean before you upload them. We also talked about compliance didn’t wait. So a little bit about compliance of getting consent of people have actually consented to getting the thing that you’re sending to them and then letting them know in that email that you automatically send that this is Julia from Tourism Tribe, because you signed up for this thing or because you purchased this product to make sure that people know who that you are.

    Molly Dobbins 3:22
Thanks, Julio. Right. And I certainly have FOMO for not being in that session. So if you are hearing, you know, all this great work that that bass trackers are currently doing. Just as a FYI, we are running the program again, very soon, starting mid-June. So we will have information on that coming up very shortly alongside our quick wind webinars that we’re kicking off with in July looking at Tiktok. So that was something and it’s a good segue to what we talked about today, Sam, you really took the lead and talking about Instagram but also sort of the relation now to the popular platform of Tik Tok. It does make people nervous because it’s a whole new world that we’re delving into now with Tik Tok and short form video. But we also talked about websites. So Sam, I might hand over to you, what would be your top three key takeaways for those that were in our main session today? As they look for the next step?

    Sam Ward 4:23
Yeah. First one is just a quick question Why does my really high quality, you know, produced video, get nothing but my 30 second low effort, video or post get a lot more. And the conversation started, essentially my homework for everyone’s room, regardless of where you’re at is to go on different platforms with the mindset of I’m a researcher, I’m not a user, and I’m just going to mindlessly scroll for a little while and like different videos that you actually do like so if you like the music or if you like the visuals or you think it’s funny or You think it’s educational like it and just start to get an idea of why these platforms are so, so popular particularly with younger crowds. TikTok is a completely different world. If you want to have a bit of a shock, go look at the luxury brand latest cars on Tik Tok the way that they present and brand themselves on their versus other ways on their own website. And even on Facebook, you will you’ll be shocked how silly they are. It’s like they’ve given the reins over to, you know, an 18-year-old geek, essentially, who’s just gone wild. And it works really well for them. So go use it. Before you kind of start ask yourself questions. Why can I make this work? Because you’ll get a lot of your answers. The second part we talked spoke about is obviously driving people to your website that you know from that social media concept. And there’s lots of ways to do that. But we started the social media concept. Second one was around. A lot of people in our fall were essentially consulting or coaching in their own industry. And using the idea of what is my lead funnel? How do I capture leads in the correct way and a big way within the advisory space is to make sure you have some sort of quiz, lead, lead funnel quiz in place. So verifying your leads, even if you are new, and you’re fresh the business implement that because people like going through that process of trying to understand maybe where they’re at and what’s what their options to go from there. So a really good example for for financial advisory from Sam, he’s you know, what, what is that you can kind of start to work out what their budget is and what they could potentially afford before you have your first call. So you can give better advice. So doing that financial, you know, call it financial health quiz for your business, implement that got many other options around there, some more affordable than others as a business and you can make the decision yourself. And the third one would really come back to testing out your data. I talk about this a lot. But if you’re if you’re looking at social media, and you’re unsure still, you’ve got to go through the pain of actually posting a lot. And then getting your data to say, did this work? Did this not work? And then ask yourself that question every week? What can I do differently? And how can I make this better? And it’s a learning exercise. But make sure you’ve gone in and in touch that you had a look at why it’s so popular what is popular by pretending you’re a user, even if you don’t want to. And like things, watch things, understand how the algorithm starts to throw more and more videos that you liked that you that you’ve liked, that you enjoy, and then you can kind of start to replicate your industry in that way.

    Molly Dobbins 7:39
Yeah, great. Thank you so much, Sam. Yeah, it was a fantastic session today. And I everyone took a lot away from it. I saw you, Caroline. Yes. Because I know you have a lead magnet. That’s a quiz on your website. So that’s a great example of amazing. Well, thank you all again, that’s our group coaching call for today. I do apologise we have gone over a little bit. But the next one will be on the sixth of June at 12pm. So make sure you sign up for that one. And have a great day and we’ll see you all very shortly.

    Molly Dobbins 8:09
    Thanks, everyone.

    Molly Dobbins 8:10
    Thanks team. Thank you. Bye

Amazing. So we’ll just do a quick summary of both the website and Instagram room. Sam, we might kick off with you. How did you go?

    Sam Ward 0:10
Yeah, great session, everyone in my room had some deep beyond beginner experience, which is awesome. It’s incredibly helpful. So we can kind of start digging into some more technicals. We’ve talked about on page optimization versus Off Page Optimization, in terms of your website, and trying to make sure that from an on page perspective, you’re trying to think about the users experience, how effective is your site, actually converting that sale, you’re converting our sale, not through trickery, but through quality experience. And then off page optimization, and when it says more specific tools. So we had just had a look at Google Search Console finish. And Google Search Console is a great tool for understanding. It’s a bit of an accounting tool, but for website, traffic and keywords. So how many people have actually come based on different keywords? And can I use those keywords that have been successful on other pages to drive traffic? And then the second part of that was answer the public.com. And using a tool to understand what search terminology is being used for to create content to draw more people into the website. So really good team are really good group actually. And I felt like the least everyone was someone who knows a lot of information, like for something that was useful. And the one thing I said to everyone is they have to go today, sign up for Google Search Console now, so they can start having a look at their keywords.

    Molly Dobbins 1:32
amazing and even fantastic, have some key action items, walk away with definitely come back to the next session and let us know how you go. And we had a fantastic room there delving into Instagram fundamentals. Do you want to just give a quick summary please?

    Emily Barry 1:46
Yeah, absolutely. It was great that, um, everyone in our group today was we’re kind of starting from the beginning, just, you know, about to thinking of delving into Instagram. So it was a great place for us to collectively as a group, start from the beginning, going through the newly structured Instagram course, to kind of looking at the roadmap that you would take, learning all the fundamentals, really understanding the role, the platform plays within your business, understanding if it’s something your target audience uses to learn more about your business. So it was just a great session to go through all of this information. And we as well have some action items to go through and complete, which was the first lesson which we will revisit in the next session. And hopefully, we can then start to get into content creating, which we started talking about. And some of us got really excited about that we’ve really put together all of these ideas. And yeah, it’s just gonna be a great journey together. So starting with the fundamentals, and we’ve got a great road ahead.

    Sam Ward 3:02
Incredible. Thank you so much, Jim. That was a great summary. And definitely now great to have those action items, start out 2023 and really see how from now to the end of the year, our digital journeys, grow and the opportunities that come with it and connecting all the content together. will thank you again for attending the first session of the year. Make sure you sign up for the next one. And apart from that, have a great rest of your week. Thanks Sam and Sam.

    Sam Ward 3:30
    Thanks, guys. No worries, Emma

    Fabienne Wintle 0:02
Excellent. So we are doing a quick round up of our support group call session. And last time, you probably had the biggest room to go first and share some golden nuggets of what, what was covered?

    Sam Ward 0:17
No worries. So a lot of our interest and topic and questions arose around lead funnels and really understanding how to get people to your digital asset to your website, and making sure that there’s a conversion process, I guess optimised for conversion process, which we spoke about, but then we actually, always the main conversation we spoke about was around SEO and developing article content and the process to that, I think we came to the conclusion that it’s incredibly important to go through the exercise yourself before you start outsourcing or utilising other people’s specialties. And we spoke about the fact that Navii and Tourism Tribe both have you know, how to the fundamentals of blogging, and what journey that can take you down. That was a big conversation, you know, in the fact that SEO really is incredibly powerful. But it is, can be a slow burn, that things you do today might not have dividends or return on profit for a couple months, potentially six months. But it still is, you know, a very long term, great, fantastic oxygen for people. And it does going through it not only provides that return on profit from a marketing point of view, but it provides additional content that you can utilise in other ways. So if you haven’t started an exercise, make sure you do. And a lot of very successful, great business operators always will start out with any new venture they do straight away. So if you haven’t get onto it, get onto the course and learn the process. And then once you build a cash flow, you can start outsourcing where your weaknesses are.

    Fabienne Wintle 1:52
Thanks, Sam. Yeah, I was just actually reviewing our SEO course. And you know, putting information about the cost of SEO in there. And it’s not SEO cannot be automated. So you have to hire people with very specific skills. And as Sam said, it’s not something that’s done very quickly. So the more you learn yourself, the better you’ll be. Fantastic. And where are you?

    Emily Barry 2:20
Ah, David was the only one in my room. So we had a great little one on one session today came with some Instagram questions about you know what to post. And then learning more about his business. We talked about how he also does email marketing sends out newsletters every week, and just his struggles around finding the time to you know, create content for all of his digital assets, with the goal of leading all of these back to his website and getting his customers to convert into a sale. So instead of just focusing on Instagram, we kind of took it back, take into consideration all of his other different channels and assets that he works on. And we focused on a content strategy of you know, developing content themes, because once you flesh out, you know what you’re going to talk about, you can repurpose this across all of your different assets. And it just makes it just helps you work smarter, not harder. And not just doing everything individually across each asset. But doing it once putting across all and having it really drive your business goals of you know, increasing sales through website, delve into a couple of other things. But yeah, it was just a great session just going through David’s strategies and just focusing on his business. So yeah.

    Fabienne Wintle 3:45
Oh, amazing. One on one. Yeah. Is there a great session, thank you very much. Excellent. And in our room, it was all about smart tech or how I like to call it use high tech to be high touch with your client. So for those who know me, I’m all about automation. Some of my staff said that if I die, people would still be getting emails from me. Yes, automation in your business, just not just about marketing. We had some good chats about how can we automate or be smart about our systems first started with us using bookmarks Hands up who uses bookmarks with folders? Excellent fagot bookmark bar with folder structured in your business. So you know marketing and you have all your links to everything you need. Even we went into as deep as every Canva file that you do book market and your Canva folder, so you don’t recreate the wheel or try and find where that design that you’d done in Canva High School. We talked about that. We also talked about one of our other participant who just start well started recently in a business that was very old school technology. logically, so she has a lot of work on her hands. And once again, we went back to our Northstar metric, what difference is it that we make to our customers, and that should drive the strategic elements of what you do in your business. So then when you have great ideas coming left, right and centre, you try and refocus and hone in on, on what it is that you said you would be doing. And so you don’t get distracted and never achieved your KPIs. We went into another participant wanting to create a, an online course. So we talked about different systems, but one of my key recommendation would be to anyone else, if you want to create an online course and you’re wondering, you know, you narrowed down a few systems, sign up, like find the Facebook groups about people using the system, and sign up for a few courses of people using doing these courses in those systems and be the student and experience it from, from the student perspective. So that’s a really the best demo you can get with a successful business that use it. What did we talk about Molly after we our email, so we talked about segmenting our email database, one of our participants said, I don’t know about you, but I’ll just if I receive an email that tells me everything about a business, I’m just not interested. So went back to thinking about how can we segment our email database based on the needs of our different customers, and then conditionally display content to them, so that they only see what is relevant to them. Anything else that I forgot, Molly? Was everything good. Great. Well, it was a fantastic session. Thank you, everyone for coming. I hope you got some things out of it. I will send you Oh, we did talk about creating feedback. So we’ll send you an email. If you can, please click and fill out the feedback survey. That would be fantastic for us. So we can gather more and more testimonials about the value of these group support calls. Have a great end of your week, and see you in a fortnight.

    Participant 7:05
Thank you very much. It’s awesome. Thanks, guys. Bye bye bye.
